About Destiny
Destiny’s life before rescue left its mark, but you’d never know it by how fast she’s thrown herself into living like a real companion. After a rough past with backyard breeding and neglect, she’s finally learning what it feels like to be safe and cared for. Destiny is a sturdy, blue fawn, tan, and white pit bull with a strong frame. Her transformation has been impressive—no longer gaunt or weary, her coat shines and her eyes have softened. She’s got one floppy cropped ear that adds to her charm and a few missing toes from an old injury, but she doesn’t let that slow her down much. Walks might need to stay moderate, but she moves just fine. Adjusting to indoor life took barely any time. She’s non-destructive in her kennel, uses her doggy-door when needed, and likes to keep things quiet (except at dinnertime, where she’ll remind you she never wants to miss a meal again). Destiny is gentle, warms up to people—especially women—and craves affection even if she’s a bit unsure how to ask. She’s shown a balanced, medium-to-low energy level, and responds to calm, steady attention. Her experience with other dogs is unclear, but it’s safest to assume she’ll thrive in a home where she can be queen of her castle—either solo or with a mellow male after careful introductions. Crowded dog parks aren’t for her. Destiny might become protective of her people, particularly with strangers or in busy homes. She’s still learning what toys are for and hasn’t mastered many commands yet, but her behavior is promising and house manners come naturally. Destiny is ready for a fresh start after so much hardship. Give her the simple comforts she never knew, and she’ll give you loyalty and quiet gratitude in return. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
