About Rocko
Rocko spent the first part of his life in a backyard with almost no human contact. Despite that, he’s shown a real desire to bond and learn since entering rescue. Now about 8 to 9 months old, Rocko completed a board and train program before moving to a foster home, where he’s picking up what it means to feel safe and cared for. Structure and consistency help him settle in quickly, and he’s proven to be affectionate, deeply loyal, and devoted to his people. People warm up easily to Rocko, and he’s especially great around kids provided adults carry clear leadership in the home. He’s social with friendly, playful, and balanced dogs—having another dog in the home really sets him up for success. Rocko is sensitive but eager to build confidence, always ready to work and engage when guided positively. Once comfortable, his playful and sweet side easily shines through. He needs a predictable, structured home committed to training, social exposure, enrichment, and a solid daily routine—including a well-built crate. He comes with ongoing support like twice-weekly group classes with a professional trainer. Cats are out, but other dogs are a big plus. Rocko missed out on early puppy experiences, but he’s making up for lost time and looking for a home ready to guide him the rest of the way. Start your journey together! Apply now.
