Rocko is an 8–9 month old pup who has already overcome a lot. He spent his early life isolated in a backyard with very little human contact, which left him unsure about the world — but also incredibly ready to learn once given kindness and structure. Since rescue, Rocko has completed a board & train program and has been living in a local foster home where he’s learning what it means to be safe, guided, and cared for. With consistency, he settles quickly and becomes deeply bonded to his people. He is affectionate, incredibly loyal, and loves being close to his humans. He has been a quick study and come so far from the scared, completely unsure puppy we first met. Rocko is: – People-friendly, needs more people to hold his leash over-all, and loves positive attention – Great with kids, with clear adult leadership in the home – Social with other friendly, playful, well-adjusted dogs (at least one dog companion is ideal) – Smart, sensitive, and eager to keep building confidence – Playful and sweet once he feels secure (doesn’t take too long at all!) Rocko does best with: – A structured, puppy friendly home – Continued training and social exposure – A well-built crate and routine – Daily mental and physical enrichment – No cats Rocko comes with ongoing support, including group training classes twice a week with his professional trainer. He’s a young dog who missed out on early life experiences, but he’s catching up beautifully and is ready for a home that will continue helping him grow into the more confident, loving companion he’s growing into.
