About Hazel

Hazel lost her family when her owner passed away and, after a tough transition, she’s landed in search of a steady, patient home. At about 2 to 3 years old, Hazel is a medium-sized Pit Bull mix with classic brown and white markings and a compact, muscular build. She’s gentle and quite friendly at her core, though she tends to be reserved when she first meets new people, hanging back until she decides things feel safe. Once her nerves settle, Hazel flips to full wiggly, affectionate mode—there’s a happy, eager dog not far below the surface. Hazel isn’t yet fully house trained, so she’ll need someone willing to stick to a routine and offer extra patience. She’s indifferent to other dogs and hasn’t spent time with kids or cats before, so any new introductions will need a gentle approach. Her ideal home isn’t noisy or chaotic but rather a place where she can settle in at her own pace and gradually start to trust again. Hazel is already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had all her important health checks. She’s waiting in Marion, IN and hoping for someone who understands how much she’s been through and won’t give up on her this time. Click apply to start the adoption process.
