About Courie Aka Courage
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Courie! This adorable little girl is truly one-of-a-kind and is searching for a very special home. Pronounced KUR•eee and short for “Courage,” Courie is around one year old and is a delightful Schnauzer mix. She was found scared and alone in Atlanta and, recognizing her sensitivity, shelter staff quickly placed her in a foster home where her sweet personality began to blossom after some time to decompress. Courie absolutely loves to play, especially with her foster friend Huxley. For her forever home, she will need a confident, playful dog companion to help her continue building confidence and provide plenty of opportunities for play. While she’s made great progress, Courie is still working to overcome her fear of men, so she is best suited for an all-female household that can provide a calm, patient environment and has experience with shy or timid dogs. If you’re the “unicorn” home Courie has been dreaming of, she’s ready to meet you! Fun fact: Courie’s birthday makes her a Scorpio, so she’s sure to be full of loyalty and heart. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
