About Oakley

Oakley is a striking black Goldendoodle mix in Gig Harbor, WA who easily wins hearts with his gentle energy and affectionate presence. Almost two years old and around 70 pounds, Oakley originally set out to be a service dog but found that a loving home suits him better. He’s picked up quite a few commands—“sit,” “down,” “wait,” “go to bed”—and is very polite around the house. Oakley thrives on playtime and long walks, but he’s also the type to snuggle in close when someone needs comfort, always ready with a soft head on your lap. His medium coat does require daily brushing, and there will be a bit of shedding, but he’s happy to share his fluff if it means more pets and attention. Because of his size and energy, Oakley will do best in a home with kids over seven. He’s also a bit sensitive to car rides, sometimes needing anti-nausea meds—just something to keep in mind for trips. Oakley is happiest as a single-dog companion or with a laid-back female pup. For someone looking for a devoted, gentle goof with a ton of love to give, Oakley is ready and waiting. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
