Woody is waving in his photo, and he’s hoping that someone out there sees him. He was found in a Bronx tire shop this past January, trying to stay warm while injured and alone. Life felt dangerous, but Woody managed to hang in there until rescue came. A rescue team stepped in and made sure he received medical care, and now he’s fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a new chapter. Woody has tested FeLV negative and FIV positive—something often misunderstood, but it will not keep him from a long, fulfilling life with other cats. At just over two years old, Woody is quiet and gentle. He’s not a loud presence, but he greets his people with a soft meow and is happiest when he gets to rub up against a loving human for cheek rubs and chin scratches. He doesn’t scratch furniture or cause any trouble—he’s low-key and deeply loyal. All Woody wants is a calm, safe home. Woody’s foster mom has shown him real kindness, but she’ll be leaving soon. He needs a new foster or a permanent home before she goes.
