About Jane
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Jane spent her early years as a breeding dog, arriving at HERO nervous but eager for a new chapter filled with love. She quickly discovered a fondness for the good life: playing with her dog friends, lounging on the couch, seeking affection from people, and smiling at every opportunity. Now about two years old and around 50 pounds, Jane thrives in her foster home, especially enjoying playtime with her dog siblings and relaxing in the sun-drenched yard. Her best friend Martha, believed to be her mother, is her favorite playmate, and both girls were surrendered together—though Jane is happy to make new friends too. Jane is a gentle giant and, despite her size, has shown herself to be affectionate and calm with both cats and children. Her short golden and black bicolor coat adds to her dignified look, and she is fully housetrained and crate trained. While she may need a little help perfecting her leash manners, she has mastered the doggy door and adores a securely fenced yard. Jane would love to be adopted with Martha, but her biggest wish is to join a family who will provide her with playmates and plenty of affection. Transport can be arranged for the right adopter if you’re not local to East TN. Jane is ready to embrace all the joys of being a beloved companion—she just needs a family to share them with. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
