When I first trapped her, she was completely shut down and terrified, spending her first few days tucked under a blanket in my bathroom sink like a shy little turtle. But after a few weeks of gentle decompression, her sweet inner filling is finally starting to peek through. The transformation in a few short weeks is remarkable. Carrot Cake is a suspected abandoned pet who likely didn't get the love she deserved in her former "home." She's been safely decompressing in her foster home, where she's slowly warming up to scratchums and discovering that other cats can be pretty comforting ingredients too.
