About Girl Dylan

Meet Dylan, a one-of-a-kind mixed-breed girl blending hound and terrier charm right here in Austin, TX. Dylan has spent the last few months settling into foster life, transforming from a shy, hesitant pup into a goofy, curious companion with a warm, gentle streak. She starts off a bit cautious with new people, but with patience and a soft approach, she opens up and reveals just how much she wants to make friends. Dylan strikes that rare balance between playful energy and easygoing lounging. When she’s outside, she’s full of enthusiasm—chasing toys, exploring, sprinting through the grass. Bring her inside and she morphs right into a couch potato, happiest curled up near you for a nap. She walks well on leash, aside from a little pulling if wildlife gets her attention, and she knows her sit cue. Crate training came naturally to her and she’s adjusted quickly to the routines of home life. With other dogs, Dylan can be shy at first but, if the match is right, she becomes a playful buddy. She does best with another enthusiastic dog who likes zoomies as much as she does. Older or more mellow dogs aren’t her ideal packmates. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, her high excitement suggests careful introductions are needed. She hasn’t been around young kids, so she’ll likely be happiest with older, respectful children. Give her time and gentle guidance, and Dylan will be someone’s best friend for life. Fun fact: born March 3rd, Dylan is a Pisces—no surprise she’s both sensitive and affectionate.
