About Paco
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Paco began his journey as a shy soul, found abandoned in an empty NYC apartment and brought to New York Animal Care Centers. Despite being timid, he quickly displayed a gentle temperament, earning a great behavior evaluation. As the shelter filled, Paco’s time grew short—until a caring rescuer stepped in and gave him a new chance. At around five years old and weighing 55 pounds, Paco is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix with striking brindle coloring and the cutest droopy lips. He is neutered, fully house trained, and crate trained. Paco loves routines, thrives when learning, and appreciates clear, positive guidance. Though strong and athletic—perfect for runs and outdoor fun—he’s also a soft-hearted cuddle buddy who’s happiest alongside his people after a good day’s adventure. Paco does best with well-balanced dogs and is good with older kids. He tends to be protective and prefers slow, calm introductions to new people and places. Paco knows all his basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it, and can even go to his bed on request. Whether you’re looking for an athletic companion or a relaxed snuggle partner, Paco is truly the best of both worlds with a heart full of love, ready to share with his forever family.
