Meet Matilde Approx. 5 years old | ~45 lbs | Sweet, affectionate, and full of love Matilde is an absolute gem of a girl with a heart as big as her smile. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and playful, and gets along beautifully with all people and other dogs. She truly just loves being near her humans. Matilde's journey hasn't been easy. She came into our partner rescue's care pregnant during a severe flood in 2022. Despite everything she endured, she was a devoted mama and raised her babies safely. All of her puppies were adopted into loving homes here in the States... but Matilde was left behind, patiently waiting for her own chance. That chance is finally here. I had the privilege of meeting Matilde in person, and she is truly something special. She followed me all around the refuge, happy just to be close to people, soaking up attention and giving gentle affection. She has a calm, loving presence and an incredibly kind soul. Now Matilde is ready to start her next chapter - whether that's in a foster home or a forever home here in Maine. Could that be with you?
