Peanut & Chunk
AvailableThese two baby male Catahoula Leopard Dog mixes are medium in size and full of promise. Despite being just a couple months old, they have already proven their resilience. Both have special needs, with Peanut being deaf and mostly blind, and Chunk living with blindness but full hearing. They are not yet house trained, but are up to date on vaccinations and have been neutered. They are currently located at the Humane Society of Highlands County, waiting for a loving family to support and embrace their unique journey together.
About Peanut & Chunk
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Peanut and Chunk are a devoted duo who have overcome a rough start, having been left in a box at the beginning of December 2025. Both are just two months old—Peanut weighing 11.6 pounds and Chunk at 17.4 pounds—but they already show immense strength and heart. Peanut is deaf and mostly blind, while Chunk is blind but can hear, making them both special needs pups in search of a home ready to support their unique requirements. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These sweet boys are still learning house training and are looking for a compassionate adopter prepared to give them a caring and patient environment. They are expected to do well with other animals but should not be placed in a home with small children, to ensure their comfort and safety. Only individuals ready to provide for their special needs should inquire. They will come with both neuters, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchips included in their adoption fee. Peanut and Chunk can't wait to find a loving family who will cherish them and help them thrive. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
