About Hera
My name is Hera, and I was born on Valentine’s Day 2024. I am extremely loving and affectionate—not to mention very smart. You’ll come to find I’m not like a typical dog; I’m far cleverer and more creative than people expect. My hobbies include collecting things from around the house, like stuffed animals and toys to hide, and occasionally sneaking some produce away from Mom and Dad. I also love exploring, hiking, and taking trips to Lowe’s and PetSmart. I adore my humans and insist on sleeping between them every night. I love taking naps on their laps while they watch movies and TV. I love them so much that I don’t like to share with their older female dog, which is why I need to leave my current family and find a new one. My people were very good to me. They kept me up to date on all my medicine and trained me to be very polite and to do several tricks. I’m still learning some house manners, like potty training and behaving on the leash during walks. I love baths and swimming in the lake. I’m looking for a family that will love me unconditionally and will let me be myself. It's very important that I'm the only dog in the house because I don't like to share my toys or food. I hope you'll apply to meet me! Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers. Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details. Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
