About Hero
Hero is a 2-year-old pit-mix who has been through more than most. Starved to near death before rescue, he pulled through and now greets every day with surprising playfulness and a friendly spirit. Hero's a black and white dog with a short coat, and he's especially fond of spending time with his best friend, Erin. After a rough past, he seems to have left it behind and is now patiently waiting for a home that appreciates both his resilience and his easygoing charm. He's happiest with adults and older children—Animal Alliance places adult dogs only with households where all children are over age 9, to ensure everyone’s safety. Hero is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and started on flea and tick preventatives. He lives in a foster network, not a single shelter, so meetings with interested adopters happen by arrangement in the Lambertville, NJ area. Hero gets along well with people and has a playful and affectionate side, especially with the ladies. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
