About Baby
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Baby's journey began with hardship. Found as a terrified stray and rescued from the Oklahoma City animal shelter, she was so frightened she had to be trapped just to ensure her safety. In that stressful environment, she shut down completely, barely interacting with the world around her. Luckily, with the help of caring shelter staff and immediate rescue, her story took a hopeful turn. When Baby first entered her foster home, she was nervous and hesitant, even too afraid to accept treats. Through patience and kindness, she slowly began to understand she was safe. As she emerged from her shell, she blossomed into a charming, loving companion. Now, she enjoys snuggling on the bed, playing happily in the yard, and learning from other dogs, who have played a big part in her transformation. Baby is house trained, crate trained, and finds comfort in her routine. While she's still nervous about leashes—possibly due to a scary experience—she is currently learning to walk with a harness to make her future strolls enjoyable. Despite all her progress, Baby is still learning. She would thrive with someone who is patient and committed to continuing her training and socialization. A home with a friendly, confident dog will help her continue to gain confidence every day. For her adoption, only homes in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, or nearby areas are being considered. This could be the start of something paw-some.
