About Rhys Purrmanent Resident
Rhys and his mother Rosario arrived together in late April 2024, rescued from a situation where they couldn’t stay long-term. Both were brought safely indoors, spayed and neutered, but arrived terrified of people. Over time, Rhys has stayed intensely shy and cautious around humans, rarely letting his guard down except for fleeting moments when his mom is comfortable. Rosario, a steady and gentle presence, has slowly grown more social but still keeps her distance. This devoted pair spends their days together, with Rosario guiding Rhys and showing him the ropes among other cats. Rhys enjoys solo play and occasional back scratches, mostly observing the world from a safe distance. Rosario serves as his protector and quiet anchor in the group. They get along well with other cats, but human contact remains challenging. Rhys will likely never want the spotlight and both cats have settled as semi-feral "Purrmanent Residents" who just need a stable, loving environment, not an adoption story. Here, they always have what they need, on their own terms. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
