About Sawyer
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? MEET SAWYER!!! Sawyer is bonded to his loving sibling Sassy, and together they form an inseparable pair that brings each other comfort and joy. Sawyer is the mostly black pup, while Sassy is brown and tan. These two share a special bond—they kiss each night before sleep, offering one another soothing reassurance when feeling uncertain. In terms of personality, Sawyer is the gentle, protective brother who allows Sassy to take the lead. While Sassy prefers not to have other alpha female dogs around, she gets along well with submissive or gentle dogs, especially males. Sawyer, on the other hand, is more cautious and can be skittish in new surroundings. Gentle handling and confidence-building training would help him blossom. Around people, Sassy and Sawyer thrive in families with children who are patient and gentle, as sudden movements or strangers can make them nervous. Sawyer is especially fond of women, but gentle introductions will help him feel comfortable with anyone. Once he feels safe, he’s a cuddler who delights in affection. Both pups know how to use pee pads and have learned to potty outside, though they’ll need a bit more training to work on territory marking. They enjoy walks and outdoor adventures but need confidence training for car rides and leash walking. Both feel more secure traveling in a crate. Sassy does experience mild separation anxiety, but with Sawyer's comfort and loving support from their family, she can gain independence. This sweet sibling duo is waiting for a home where they will be cherished together! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
