Slots is pure fun wrapped in a handsome orange coat, but his journey to us was a scary one. He was found on the streets of Albany in extreme distress and unable to get up. At first, it was feared he had been hit by a car, but thankfully he had no broken bones or internal injuries and has fully recovered. While we may never know what this sweet boy went through, one thing is certain—his future is bright. Energetic, food-motivated, and always ready to play, Slots has a bold and joyful personality that fills the room. He loves attention and would thrive in a home with another playful FELV+ kitty who can match his energy or people who will give him a lot of play time. Slots is FeLV positive, but he is energetic and healthy. Because FeLV is a virus that weakens a cat's immune system, FeLV+ cats may have shorter life-spans, but cats like Slots who are diagnosed as an adult can live to be 10-15 years old. This virus cannot be transmitted to people, dogs or other non-feline animals, but can be transmitted to other cats via shared water and food dishes and grooming each other.
