Onee is a 7.5-year-old, 17-lb poodle whose life has been shaped by loss, but her heart is still so full of love. When Onee was just a puppy, her beloved human mom passed away. She was taken in by the daughter, who already had too many dogs and couldn’t properly care for them. Over the years, Onee quietly endured neglect until animal control stepped in. She was surrendered to Shelter Hope so she could have the best chance at finding the loving forever home she deserves. When Onee arrived, she was in rough shape, severely matted, overweight, and filthy. The vet removed two mammary tumors and gave her a full dental and bloodwork. Today, Onee is feeling so much better and showing us who she really is. And who she is? A gentle, playful, and mellow little soul. Onee seems housebroken, enjoys being around kids, loves people-watching, and is perfectly content relaxing in her dog bed, soaking in the calm she’s been missing for so long.
