About Brea
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Introducing Brea, a charming hound mix who is ready to steal your heart! With her adorable floppy lab ears and sleek, whippy greyhound tail, Brea is as unique as she is beautiful. Her caramel and cream fur is short and soft, and she’s a low-shedding gal, making her a great companion for those who prefer less fur around the house. At 9 years old, Brea still has plenty of energy and is always up for an adventure. Brea is already equipped with lots of important dog skills. She knows basic commands such as sit, shake, down, and come, and she’s fully house trained—she'll even let you know when she needs to go out. She can tackle stairs easily and hops in and out of the car without help. Walks are a favorite activity, and Brea would likely enjoy some short hikes. She’s great on a leash, but her hound instincts come out when she catches an interesting scent, so get ready to explore with her! Car rides and tug-of-war games also top her list of pastimes, and she thoroughly enjoys stuffie toys, even if they sometimes lose an ear or some stuffing during playtime. After all her fun, Brea loves to curl up on a comfy bed or couch for a nap. There are a few important things to know about Brea: a home with cats is not suitable, and she is selective with other dogs, so a careful introduction is a must. Though crate trained, she needs encouragement to settle but can be trusted outside the crate when alone. Brea enjoys affection on her terms and prefers not to cuddle constantly; she’ll let you know when she’s ready for some scratches. She loves people of all kinds but may come on a bit strong for very young children unless they are experienced with big, loving dogs. Brea is an exceptional companion and can’t wait to find her perfect match. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
