About Hansel
Hansel came into rescue after spending his early life with no human contact, but he's learning to trust more each day. His journey began after being trapped in a yard as a baby, along with his two sisters, and taken to safety instead of being abandoned. Hansel started out a bit wild—likely second generation feral—but his foster mom hasn’t given up on him. He doesn’t always like being picked up, though he’s showing progress: sit quietly and he will eventually purr in your lap. Hansel is still figuring out how to play around people, even if he likes toys when no one is watching. He enjoys regular meals and is adjusting to life as a cherished domestic cat. If patient, you’ll see him relax and even show some affection when the moment feels right. Hansel gets along with other cats, but not with dogs. He’s searching for someone who values patience and consistency, willing to help a young cat blossom into a loving companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic Medium Hair cats like Hansel do not require outdoor access if enriched indoors. Regular play and cozy spots to perch inside are more than enough for his well-being.
