About Gizmo

Gizmo is a 6-pound, 5-year-old Toy Terrier mix who has survived some tough times. Rescued from hoarding and extreme neglect, he arrived dangerously undernourished and barely able to stand. After intensive vet care, Gizmo pulled through. He has a severe overbite and had several rotten teeth removed, so he needs to take his time eating and drinking, but he’s adapted. Gizmo is neutered and current on vaccinations. He’s timid with new people and resorts to anxious barking at first, but once he feels safe, he’s loyal and affectionate. In his foster home, Gizmo gets along well with most dogs—he’ll play with nearly everyone except the resident senior Lab. He does not do well with cats or young children. He’s not yet house trained and is best suited for an adopter who spends most of their time at home. Long hours alone or a busy household won’t set him up to succeed. Gizmo’s earned a second chance and is searching for someone patient to show him life can be gentle. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
