About Vixen

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Vixen is a loving mixed-breed girl whose journey almost ended before it began. Rescued just moments before euthanasia, it turned out her health scare was simply a case of an upset stomach, not something serious. Since arriving at the rescue, Vixen has shown herself to be gentle, sweet, and eager for affection. She gets along well with other dogs and does well in a crate, making her a wonderful companion for the right home. Due to inconsistent access to food in her past, Vixen guards her meals; right now, she is being hand-fed, which helps her feel safe, and her future family will need to continue this routine. For this reason, she’s best placed in a home without small children. Vixen may also have survived abuse, as she sometimes pancakes to the floor when she’s anxious. She just needs patient people to show her gentleness, consistency, and what it means to truly be loved. Born April 9, Vixen is an Aries—so she’s brave and determined. If you believe in second chances and want to help a sweet soul blossom, Vixen will reward you with her unwavering loyalty. She’s not broken—just ready for a safe space and a family to love her. Your new best friend is just one click away.
