Maple is a small, spayed female Chihuahua mix, approximately 3.5 years old. She has a short coat with a beautiful blend of yellow, tan, and white colors. Although not yet fully house trained, she is responding well to her training. Maple is located in Oklahoma City, OK, and weighs about 10 lbs. She is vaccinated and microchipped, ready for a loving home.

About Maple

Meet Maple, a lovely Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold. She found herself in rescue after escaping a tough start in life, arriving at the shelter pregnant and scared. Luckily, she was taken in, gave birth shortly after, and has been on a journey to recovery ever since, including heartworm treatment. At around 3.5 years old and weighing about 10 pounds, Maple is still a bit shy and needs an adopter who can give her the time and patience to adjust. She gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and will thrive in a home with a playful companion. A calm, adult-only environment would be ideal for her, as young children may be overwhelming. Maple is working on basic skills like leash training and being comfortable with handling. In her foster home, she has shown great progress, and although she’s not yet house trained, she loves her crate and considers it a safe space. Maple is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready for her forever home where she can be loved and spoiled. She’s ready to find her special person who understands her need for caution and care. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
