About Kingston
Kingston is a 5-year-old, 65-pound Lab/Pit mix with a smooth, low-maintenance black coat and a presence that fills any room. Big-hearted and easygoing, he comes with a story: originally adopted from a local shelter and well-loved, he had to come back when his owner’s health declined—never his fault. Kingston rolls with it and remains deeply affectionate, living up to the "gentle giant" title. He adores meeting new people and melts quickly into cuddles. If you're on the couch, expect Kingston to try and play the role of a full-sized weighted blanket. He loves walking, car rides, and especially meal time. Balls and tug-of-war games are high on his list, but he’s equally happy just hanging out. Kingston’s a bit of a comedian: he snores, sometimes breathes loud, and takes minor scolding deeply to heart before bouncing back. He knows basic commands, is crate and leash trained, and is mostly house trained with only occasional accidents. He gets along well with other dogs and, despite being unfazed around cats, would thrive best in a home with a fully fenced yard to curb his love of running. He’ll do best in a somewhat active household with older children who understand larger dogs. Kingston is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and his adoption fee is $150.
