🐾 Meet Petey 🐾 📍 Location: High Desert, CA 🐶 Age: ~6 months 🖤 Breed: Labrador Retriever mix (vet’s best guess) Petey is a beautiful, all-black Lab mix puppy with a tiny splash of white on his chest and the most striking deep burgundy eyes. He was found in the High Desert alongside another dog who had a broken leg—whether she was his mom or just a friend he found in the desert, we may never know. What we do know is that Petey is an incredibly special soul. Despite his rough start, Petey is healthy, happy, and full of puppy joy. He’s playful, affectionate, and loves to run, explore, and bounce around like the puppy he is. He would thrive with a family who enjoys outdoor adventures—hikes, beach days, or backyard playtime—and he would definitely benefit from having a yard. Petey does wonderfully with children and has been nonstop playmates with a 9-year-old—chasing each other, playing fetch, and ending every game with lots of kisses. He also does well with other dogs with proper introductions and is currently learning leash skills. ✨ Medical & Adoption Info: • Up-to-date on puppy vaccinations • Will be microchipped • Neuter surgery will be fully covered by our rescue when he is 6 months old at Simi Valley Spay & Neuter Clinic Petey is pure love—sweet, joyful, and ready to give his whole heart to a family of his own.
