About Bitsie
Bitsie is an 8-year-old mastiff mix who found herself needing a new start after losing her longtime owner. When she first arrived, Bitsie struggled—overweight, with painful infections in her feet, thin patches of hair, and more health problems than anyone would want for such a sweet dog. Thanks to a dedicated rescue effort, she received lifesaving medical care, got settled into a foster home, and slowly began to heal, inside and out. After months of treatment and patience, Bitsie has bounced back. Her infections are under control, and with a routine of daily medication, she's feeling her best in years. She plays outside like a much younger dog, chasing balls, throwing her toys, and rolling in the grass. She's got a soft spot for car rides and loves to cuddle—sometimes forgetting she's too big for your lap. Bitsie still takes medicine daily for her thyroid and feet, but she accepts it as part of her routine. She's strong, eager to learn, and deeply loyal. Her affection and eagerness to please shine through now that she's healthy. She needs an adopter ready to continue her care, provide boundaries and training, and most of all, give her the home she's always deserved. Every day is a fresh chapter for Bitsie, and she's ready to share it with her own family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
