About Nova
Nova arrived at the rescue in 2024, needing a new start after her last home wasn’t the right fit. She’s a Husky/Shepherd mix with a striking gray, blue, and black long coat. Nova requires placement as an only pet—she doesn’t get along with other animals, though she does well with people, including kids aged 7 and up. The rescue prefers adopters with experience handling Huskies. Nova’s prior family adopted her from a California shelter, and after raising her puppies and managing complicated medical needs, it became clear that Nova is happiest in a one-animal home. She’s now healthy—the rescue covered the cost to finally resolve her hormone-driven hyperplasia with a successful spay. Nova thrives on attention from her people, is house trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She knows her basics and isn’t overly energetic but would appreciate a securely fenced yard to stretch her legs. Nova is ready for a quieter environment where she’ll be the center of attention. Preference is given to families who understand her breed. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
