About Scarlett
Meet Scarlett, a sweet, roly-poly pup who has weathered more than her share of challenges. She survived for at least a month on her own in a highway culvert and, understandably, comes with a bit of shyness. Scarlett is about 7 to 8 months old, still showing those classic puppy quirks, and she especially loves to chew—so chew toys are a must-have. Scarlett is learning the ropes indoors and does well with a dog door for potty training. She thrives around other dogs, happily snuggling and learning new commands by copying her canine companions. Fast movements or sudden approaches can overwhelm her, so she needs a gentle hand and some patience as she comes out of her shell. Once she trusts you, she will nudge in close for pets and belly rubs—she's a softie at heart. She does not jump, responds to sit, and is picking up other basics like stay and down by watching her friends. This girl is vaccinated, spayed, and kept up to date on her monthly preventatives. She is working on her leash skills and will do best in a calming, dog-savvy home with another confident, friendly dog. A mellow environment without small children or a lot of noise will help Scarlett flourish. In the right hands, she promises to be a loyal, loving companion waiting for her second chance. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
