About Bear
Bear is a favorite among volunteers for good reason. He’s been heading out on plenty of adventures lately—car rides, visits to the park, and exploring neighborhoods. Ask him, “Want to go for a car ride?” and you’ll see his enthusiasm right away. On leash, Bear handles everything with confidence—he rarely reacts to pedestrians, bikes, strollers, or other dogs. House trained and quick to learn, Bear already knows commands like sit and shake and is eager to pick up more, especially if treats are involved. He’s unfazed by loud sounds or construction, and absolutely loves being around water (though he’s still warming up to pools). Bear isn’t an immediate cuddler; he prefers his space at first and needs time to build trust. Once that bond is there, he’ll happily seek out affection. He’s previously lived with a cat but tends to play pretty rough—slow introductions and initial separation are important. Bear can adapt to a house or apartment, and he’s the right fit if you enjoy keeping active, love car rides, or want a dog who’s up for any outing. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
