About Myra

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Myra is looking for a home where she can thrive, ideally with older teenage children who can provide her the understanding and companionship she deserves. She is a loving shepherd/mixed breed dog, and her playful spirit shines with canine friends—she gets along well with other dogs, though she would prefer not to share her space with cats. Myra is house trained and has already been spayed, and all her vaccinations are up to date, making her ready for her forever family. Please note that Hero Dog Rescue is a foster-based organization rather than a shelter, which means you must have an approved adoption application before meeting Myra. The rescue asks that any current pets in your home are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines. Once approved, the foster family will help coordinate a meet-and-greet and provide deeper insights into Myra’s personality. A home visit will be part of the adoption process to ensure the perfect match. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
