About Reuben
Reuben is a 4-year-old, 54-pound mixed breed who gravitates toward the quiet comforts of home—soft beds, sunbeams, and gentle routines. He's shy around new people, but with a little patience and a peaceful environment, his affectionate, cuddly side comes through. Reuben does best with a person or family who can give him time to acclimate and won’t push him to warm up before he’s ready. Because he’s sensitive, a home with children 13 and up is best. Reuben shows promise for living with another dog, but slow, thoughtful introductions are a must. Cats aren’t a fit for him. If you appreciate the sweetness of a dog who just needs a little breathing room and a lot of love, Reuben is worth meeting. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
