About Shay
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Shay! This lovely 4-year-old Shepherd/wolf hybrid mix weighs about 55 pounds and is the perfect blend of independence and affection. Shay might be a little shy around new people at first, but with a bit of patience, she quickly shows her sweet and loving nature. She enjoys her own company and entertains herself but also appreciates quality time with the people she trusts. Shay delights in spending time outdoors and especially loves long walks where she can soak in the fresh air. Playful moments come out when she’s excited, and toys are a favorite, but her true passion is exploring the outdoors with a companion—especially another dog. Shay would thrive in a home where she has a canine playmate. Given her initial sensitivities, she needs a household where any children are 13 years or older to ensure she feels safe and comfortable. As a wolf hybrid, Shay has some unique traits and has been returned to the rescue several times for behavior typical of her breed. For this reason, she needs an adopter with prior wolf hybrid experience and a background in positive reinforcement training. This requirement will help ensure her next home is truly her forever home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
