Special needs girl looking for a special needs home definition of SURVIVOR... Jaya is from Detroit and a life of all she knew was litter after litter and endless puppies to care for.. in case that isn't bad enough, she was hit by a car several years ago and has mobility issues because of it. Her neurological issues may make her walk wonky and need a home without stairs but they really don't slow her down much! Jaya needs a home that can help her stay comfortable with her neuro issues .. as these will be life long! Don't worry- no experience required of mobile issue dogs but must be willing to go with the flow and adapt with our girl :) Jaya is 11 years young and about 50 lbs She is very dog friendly and should live with other dogs in her forever home She is an extra personable, extra opinionated grandma dog full of sugar and spice.. and everything nice! (And a little splash of sass too!) The most determined, resilient, sweetest girl you'll ever meet.. we promise you that you've never loved a dog like Jaya- she has so much to teach you about love and life and making the best out of everyday! Jaya does need to go to the vet once a week in Troy currently for a few hours. She receives a couple of treatments that have truly brought so much quality of life to her golden years and although these will eventually discontinue down to bi-weekly or even once a month, she needs an adopter who can understand her special needs and advocate for her in the years to come.
