Meet Bernie Other than his frequent naps throughout the day- you wouldn’t even know he’s older! This sweet old man loves being pet, playing with his foster siblings and food LOL!! He does have boundaries that need to be respected- who wouldn’t after feeling unsafe and needing to protect themselves 24/7 out on his own(before shelter life- we assume) he needs his own space to sleep where no other animals can bother him so he can rest peacefully, he deserves at least that! He likes to chew on toys and loves a comfy dog bed to curl into! Hes not 100% potty trained but since we got him- he has gotten a lot better!! Consistency is key with this guy! Hes good on a leash just a little awkward and stubborn sometimes and is very good out in every public setting I’ve brought him to! Hes not gonna beg for love unless he’s in the mood- but he is a very good buddy to have around the house. Www.nyshar.org/applications
