Meet Michelle, aka Shelly Shelly is a 20-pound Shih Tzu mix, about 2 years old, who is looking for a very special adopter — someone patient, gentle, and understanding. Shelly is truly a wonderful little girl, full of love and affection. Once she feels safe and knows she won't be hurt, she becomes your shadow and will happily smother you with kisses. The hardest part for her is the beginning — those first few days when she may be timid and unsure. With time, kindness, and consistency, she blossoms beautifully. She does well with other dogs and cats and is also good with older children. Shelly would thrive best in a quiet, calm home with someone willing to listen to what we've learned about her and apply that guidance as they build trust and a bond. Shelly is absolutely amazing, and the person who gives her the chance she deserves will gain a deeply loyal, loving companion for life. A few important things to know: We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Dogs must be picked up in person in Bonifay, FL. We do not ship or transport dogs. A secure, fenced yard is required unless otherwise stated. All dogs are spayed/neutered, age-appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and started on flea/heartworm prevention.
