River is an eight-year-old hound who brings a calm, joyful energy to any home. She’s easy to have around—crate trained, house trained, and good with both kids and other dogs. True to her hound roots, she’ll sometimes share her opinion vocally, but she’s quieter than most of her breed. River is gentle and affectionate, gravitating toward anyone willing to spare her some attention, and she has a way of making herself impossible not to love. Baths aren’t River’s favorite, but she tolerates them if she must. She does have one particular need—canned food works best for her dental comfort, but she’ll eat small kibble when offered. River will be spayed and have her teeth cleaned before adoption. She’ll be ready for her forever home once she’s all set at the vet. Adopters must collect River in person (Bonifay, FL).
