About Dozer
Dozer's past wasn't easy—he came to rescue after being seized in a cruelty case and honestly, he’s earned his second chance. Even after all he’s been through, Dozer still tries to please and shows the steady loyalty American Staffordshire Terriers are known for. Since settling into foster care, he throws himself into every moment, happy to finally have loving people who care for him. He’s eager and affectionate, though he’s still learning not to jump up in his excitement. That’s a work in progress, but he really wants to be the good boy. With more training, he’ll do well with kids and older folks alike; he already genuinely likes everyone. Out on the leash, he’s game for any adventure, loves car rides, and really just wants to stick by your side wherever you go. While Dozer does live with other dogs now, he hasn’t picked up all the right cues yet, so he’ll do best as an only dog or with someone experienced who can guide him further. He doesn't like cats, and that likely won’t change. He’s house trained via a doggie door, never has accidents, and handles the crate just fine when needed. Treats motivate him, and he’s already showing he’s a quick student when you invest some time. Dozer is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and kept up with regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Born June 4, he’s a Gemini—maybe that explains some of his spirited energy.
