About Apollo
Apollo, often called Paul, is a 1.5-year-old Labrador/Heeler mix bouncing with energy and good intentions. His spark for life is obvious—he’s the type to charge into every day, ready for fun and affection, but that enthusiasm can sometimes tumble over if not channeled well. Apollo’s current family cares deeply for him, but his high energy simply exceeds what they can provide. He thrives on movement and needs lots of regular exercise; otherwise, he’ll invent his own games, not all of which the house appreciates. Crate trained and familiar with some basic commands, he’s a smart, trainable dog who just needs more structure and consistent engagement. Outdoor time, mental stimulation, and firm but kind guidance will help him settle into his best self. He rides okay in cars—though sometimes gets a little queasy—and enjoys being around other dogs, especially his sibling. How he feels about cats is still up in the air. Apollo loves to jump and interact and would fit in best with a family that enjoys play and can keep up with his pace. His dual identity as Apollo and Paul just adds to his charm—he responds to both. He’s neutered, up to date on shots, and comes with no rehoming fee. He’s waiting for the person or family who wants a loyal, active sidekick and is ready to guide him into maturity.
