Scarlett is a large, adult German Shepherd mix with a short brown coat and a gentle demeanor. She is spayed, house trained, and up to date on her vaccines. Scarlett is currently in Lake Orion, MI and enjoys relaxing as much as playing. She knows basic commands and has shown herself to be an affectionate companion.

About Scarlett

Scarlett is a laid-back German Shepherd mix, about 5 years old and weighing around 60 pounds. After losing her owners, she and her sister Lucy ended up together in foster care and have leaned on each other through it all. Scarlett is an easygoing girl—she loves to cuddle, relax, and sticks by your side quickly. She knows her basic commands, never jumps, and seems happiest being someone's best friend. Adopting Scarlett with her sister Lucy is strongly encouraged, as they've grown even closer. Still, they are adjusting in foster care and Scarlett has handled life with other dogs, big and small, with no issues. She famously befriended a little Chihuahua while staying with a sitter. Kids haven’t been tested, but she’s warm to all people and would probably do best in a home with children 9 or older due to her size. Scarlett’s experience with cats is unknown, but a patient, gradual introduction would be needed. She walks nicely on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard because she can be a bit of an escape artist if a gate is left unlocked. Scarlett is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines.
