About Hercules
Meet Hercules. After a rough start as a backyard breeder, this strong boy escaped his past and survived the euthanasia list, spending nearly a year waiting for a second chance. Heād finally tasted a dream life in a loving home, only to be returned when his adopterās circumstances changedāsomething he still doesnāt understand. Back at the rescue, Hercules is nervous but continues to show nothing but sweetness. Hercules thrives with a dog-savvy adopter who understands that he needs patience, especially to warm up to men. While he tends to be cautious at first, heās bonded deeply with a male volunteer beforeāeven joining him on a semi truck adventure across the state. Heās learning to socialize with other dogs and gets along with certain females, like Butterball, but needs careful introductions. Smaller animals and children are not a match for him. Hercules is playful, protective, and energeticāa natural explorer who loves walks, the outdoors, and his favorite red rocket toys. Snuggles are never in short supply with him. He deserves a stable, understanding home who wonāt let him down again. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
