About Sailor
Sailor is a striking, 3-year-old American Bulldog mix weighing in at around 90 pounds—truly a gentle giant with a face made for the camera. He thrives on affection and has a strong cuddly side, always eager to be close to the people he trusts. Sailor prefers a quieter lifestyle and would do best as the only dog, though he previously lived peacefully with a small, low-energy Chihuahua. He ignores cats entirely in his foster home, so feline housemates aren’t an issue. Space and respect are big for Sailor. He’s uneasy when dogs, cats, or even humans crowd his personal bubble, so a household with older children suits him best. He can be wary of adult men who approach too quickly, but he warms up with patience and consistency. Sailor is housebroken and much prefers being with people over being left alone or crated; a family that’s home often would make him happiest. He loves nothing more than sprawling across a lap (or a car console), passing out kisses, and settling in for a nap near his favorite people. Though he can get a little excited at the start of a walk, he calms quickly and is easy to manage. A free training session is being offered to help his new family get a smooth start.
