About Sussie Q

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Sussie Q, the little girl with the winning smile and a truly inspiring spirit! Sussie Q is a 4-year-old female pug mix, spayed and weighing about 11 lbs, who was one of the amazing survivors from a difficult hoarding situation. Despite her tough beginnings, Sussie Q’s cheerful personality and sweet nature shine through. Sussie Q has some special needs due to a congenital angular front limb deformity and a chronic orthopedic condition affecting her hind legs. Her mobility challenges are currently managed with Dasuquin, and while surgery may or may not be needed one day, her adopter should be ready to provide ongoing medical care as advised by your vet. She enjoys short 5-10 minute leash walks or traveling in her stroller with a soft blanket and is pee pad trained, though not crate trained. True to her affectionate nature, Sussie Q loves snuggling, lap time, and playing with gentle dogs (no cats, please!). She absolutely adores children and will charm any household with her cuddles and happy dances, especially when she gets a new blanket. Because she can get anxious when left alone, she’s happiest with another sweet dog friend or humans who can offer plenty of companionship. Sussie Q is searching for a loving, attentive home—maybe a couple who loves bringing their pup everywhere! She can’t wait to find her happily ever after with a family who will spoil her with bones, blankets, and sunny spots to nap. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
