About Mocha
Start your journey together! Apply now. Looking for a gentle soul who needs a patient, understanding home? Meet Mocha, a sweet 8-month-old pug mix who weighs just 17 pounds. Mocha has overcome a difficult start to life, and she’s still learning that people can be kind. She’s timid and wary of new humans, but with patience and quiet encouragement—especially when treats are involved—she begins to let her true loving nature shine through. Mocha’s ideal home is calm and quiet, without the hustle and bustle of young or active children, as these can overwhelm her and add to her fear. Despite her nerves, Mocha has never shown aggression or bitten anyone; instead, she prefers to hide until she feels safe. Mocha is fully house trained and comfortable in her crate, though she’s not yet leash trained and needs continued guidance as she learns about the big world. Although she isn’t a fan of being picked up, there’s nothing more rewarding than the moment she relaxes and asks for gentle affection. Mocha gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a patient household willing to invest time and care into building her confidence. She is spayed and current on her vaccinations. The adoption process includes a refundable training deposit to help ensure Mocha’s continued progress, making it easier for her to become the loyal companion she’s meant to be. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
