About Clifford

Clifford is a big, striking Redbone Coonhound mix with the classic look that turns heads. At around 2 years old and weighing in at 70 pounds, his size and handsome red coat give him a real presence. Clifford is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. He’s house and crate trained, too. Clifford is a bit reserved with new people at first. Once he trusts you, his playful, goofy side comes out—he’s eager for treats, ear scratches, and a good romp. Having been left as a stray, his background is a mystery, but his gentle demeanor shines through. He’ll do well as an only dog or with a confident canine companion his size or larger. He gets along nicely with sturdy, older children but will need a cat-free home. His adopters will need a fenced yard that’s up to the challenge of a big dog, and a solid vet reference. Adoptions are limited to the DFW area (within an hour of Terrell), and dogs are delivered to their homes. Fun fact: Clifford is a Leo, so don’t be surprised if he steals the show wherever he goes.
