About Prince

Start your journey together! Apply now. He wants to be your lover—raspberry beret optional. This striking, visually impaired black cat has quickly become a favorite among all who meet him. Born with eyelid agenesis, Prince didn’t develop eyelids and now enjoys a special bond with the ophthalmology team at UC Davis. His new family should know that while he loves attention and asks for it by gently nibbling on hands, this can also happen if he becomes overstimulated. The cue 'uppies' helps keep interactions fun and safe, and his foster family knows right where his 'no touch' zone begins. Prince is currently enrolled in a UC Davis study, so his family will receive complimentary follow-up exams at their campus. His foster home, through our partner Rocket Cat Rescue, is staffed by adults experienced with giving extra loving care to special needs cats. The household includes a large, calm dog and many cats of all ages, creating a gentle and understanding environment. While these cats may have ongoing medical needs, all urgent concerns are promptly managed and adopters receive thorough medical guidance. Prince’s training includes litter box habits, nail trimming, and proper use of scratching posts and carriers. Fosters are microchipped, spayed/neutered, treated for parasites, and up to date on wellness vaccinations. Adoptive families also receive a welcome gift bag loaded with favorite toys, treats, a cozy blanket, and a comic book to share with their new companion. Did you know? Born on October 24, Prince is a Scorpio—these sun signs are known for their determination, mystery, and unwavering loyalty. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
