About Ganymede
Click apply to start the adoption process. Ganymede is a mysterious and majestic young male who is searching for a patient home that will let him adjust at his own pace, offering plenty of positive reinforcement. Originally helped by our friends at Rocket Cat Rescue, Ganymede has overcome an unusual start—after being found with one striking 'full moon' eye, he has fully recovered and now thrives on food-based activities. He’s happiest when paired with a confident, playful cat friend and feels comfortable with large, mellow dogs. Ganymede responds best when toys are used to build his confidence and security. Although his feline impression might come off quirky and a little awkward at times, Ganymede is endearing in his own unique way—he easily befriends outgoing male cats and enjoys playtime, even if he is just a bit odd. His current foster home has extensive experience with cats requiring extra consideration, and they’re also comfortable with low-energy, larger dogs and cats of all ages. Ganymede may have ongoing needs but is fully vetted and will come with all medical information. When you adopt from us or our partner fosters, your new friend arrives microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV, spayed/neutered, parasite-treated, and vaccinated appropriately for age and wellness. New adopters will also receive a Welcome Home Hero gift bag packed with toys, treats, a cozy blanket, and a comic for bonding time. Fun fact: Ganymede is a Cancer, known for their affectionate and sensitive nature—this might explain his gentle but playful soul! Thank you for taking the time to learn about Ganymede.
