WINNIE - The Woman of Mystery Who Comes With Her Own Quiet Constellation Winnie is the kind of dog people whisper about in the soft hours of evening: the calm one, the observant one, the one who seems to understand things before you speak them aloud. Four years old. Sixty pounds. A Lab/Pittie mix with the posture of a philosopher and the heart of a hand-warmer. She moves through a home with a gentle gravity - not demanding the center of attention, yet rearranging the entire emotional landscape simply by lying at your feet. She has perfected the elegant art of companioning: a warm presence on the couch, a steady head rested against your leg, a subtle nose-nudge that means, simply, "Stay with me." Her hobbies include: Selecting sunbeams with the precision of a solar engineer Supervising the neighborhood from a window seat Curating a personal collection of comfortable sleeping spots Appreciating pup cups with religious devotion Winnie is beautifully mannered - potty trained, command savvy, graceful on leash, and a dream in the car. When left alone, she doesn't protest; she just waits with quiet confidence that you'll return. She's open to friendships with other dogs after they pass her polite, slow-pace approval process. Cats, however, are not part of her mythology. There is a steadiness to Winnie that feels rare - a soft, anchoring presence in a loud world. She isn't flashy. She isn't theatrical. She is something far better: She is a soul you come home to. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
