About Freya
Introducing Freya: Your Future Couch Gremlin, Snack Consultant, and Professional Snuggle Bandit! Freya isn't just any dog-she's a one-of-a-kind Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix who was discovered living her best feral princess life on a hiking trail. Now, at a perfect 45 lbs and around 2 years old, she's traded in her survivalist career for a new dream: becoming your full-time cuddle buddy. (Bonus: she's spayed, heartworm negative, and fully committed to being adorable.) Freya's Resume Includes: Potty Training Prodigy: No indoor "oopsies" since November. She's basically a tiny, furry adult. Crate Champ: Tell her "bed" and she'll trot off like she's clocking in for a paid nap. Command Queen: She's mastered "sit," "down," "place," and even "off" (sort of-she's still lobbying for an exemption when it comes to sneaky cuddle attacks). Important Personality Notes: Freya is basically a genius (but like... the funny kind that also steals socks). She loves humans so much she might just physically melt into your lap. Other dogs? She's selective. Freya doesn't want to be friends with everyone-she has standards, darling. - She needs slow, proper introductions to any new dog friends so she can decide if they're worthy of her inner circle. Cats? Hard pass. Suspicious goblins, every last one of them. Freya is looking for a human (or two) who will appreciate her combination of snuggly affection, mischievous smarts, and occasional diva moments. If you want a ride-or-die bestie who will absolutely judge strangers with you, Freya's your girl. Adopt Freya: Because life is better with a hilarious, loving, selectively-social snuggle monster by your side. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match! **Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed.
