About Nick

Hi, I'm Nick - Your New Best Friend Just Waiting to Meet You! Age: 2 years old Weight: 56 lbs Breed: Yellow Lab/Terrier Mix Neutered | Fully Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm Treatment Ready Hi there! My name's Nick, and let me tell you - it's been quite a journey getting here. I spent a long time in a small rural shelter where I got to know every human and pup there. The staff would tell me I was their favorite (but don't tell the others ). I was always happy to greet everyone, tail wagging and full of hope. But one day, everything changed. I overheard that the shelter had run out of space... and my name was at the top of the euthanasia list. I didn't understand - I had been such a good boy. The staff was heartbroken. But then, something amazing happened. A foster family stepped up just in time, and I got my freedom ride to New Orleans! The humans cried happy tears - I think I did, too. Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready for my forever home. Since arriving at my foster home, I've been showing everyone just how awesome I am: I get along really well with similarly-sized dogs (no small animals, please) and I love people, cuddles, and quiet time. I'm a relaxed, easy-going guy who just wants to be part of the family! I am heartworm positive, but don't worry - my rescue is taking care of my treatment, and I'm ready to start! Once that's behind me, I'll be all set for a long, healthy, happy life with my forever humans. Here's what I'm dreaming about: A cozy home with people who will love me as much as I love them. Walks, snuggles, treats, and belly rubs - I'm not asking for much. Just a chance to be someone's dog, forever. So... what do you say? If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, loving companion with a heart full of gratitude, I'm your guy. I've already been through a lot, but I still believe the best is yet to come.
